The passing nature

The yard is not a place, the yard is philosophy.

Each of us remembers those better days, when the grass was greener, parents were younger and happiness was closer…

The main character returns from Australia to his native yard, where he spent his childhood. And he remembers himself as Sashka-Pelican, the friendship proven in wall-to-wall fist fighting behind garages with little boys from the yard, and the love stories of guys and girls, their parents and even lonely pensioners.

But the house, where families were friends, quarreled, joked and raised children together, is demolished. The childhood friends became adults and live without knowing their neighbors. The past remained only in memory with children’s promises, big dreams and passing days.
